Join us for YP Week Basecamp: Day #3 at the CCAD Mind Market (5 Cleveland Ave. in downtown Columbus) during Columbus YP Week to learn about how major sectors of our city are transforming to accommodate an evolving workforce. This Basecamp event will feature special guest speakers and will be facilitated by CCAD Master of Design professors and students. It is FREE to attend and all are welcome.

Presented by the Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO)

A strong relationship with the community helps make your organization stronger and more successful. Often times, Human Resources professionals are that connection to the community. What, who, when, where should you get involved and what does that mean? Join two passionate, determined and incredibly phenomenal community leaders as they talk about the success of connecting your business with the community.

  • Jackie Kemble, Community Partnership Manager of Land Grant Brewing Company will speak about how being an active community partner is a key component to its successful business model and the important role it plays when building your network and brand.
  • Claire Coder, Founder & CEO of Aunt Flow will speak about the opportunity organizations have in providing menstrual products to their employees and how Human Resources plays a critical part in this partnership. Claire will be interviewed by Kevin Terry Smith, Marketing Manager & Program Coordinator at Leadership Columbus.

Each morning during Columbus Young Professionals Week, YP Week Basecamp will allow you to learn about how major sectors of our city are transforming to accommodate an evolving workforce. All Basecamp events and presentations are FREE to attend. Coffee and light breakfast will also be provided to attendees free of charge! Topics will include:

Next Generation of Civic Leaders (facilitated by Columbus Inspires and Create Columbus)
Transportation: Smart is Just the Start (facilitated by COTA)
 HR's Connection with Community (facilitated by Human Resource Association of Central Ohio)
The Changing Landscape of Poverty in Columbus (facilitated by United Way of Central Ohio)
The Changing Columbus: Design Thinking Workshop (facilitated by CCAD Master of Design professors and students)

YP Week Basecamp morning sessions are being facilitated by faculty and students of CCAD's Master of Design program. The Master of Design program is a business-minded higher ed curriculum. It teaches students to effectively and creatively solve complex organizational, business or societal challenges by taking a human-centric, collaborative and holistic approach to crafting strategy. Today's economy is driven by innovation and creativity, and CCAD Master of Design prepares students to succeed in this economy.
