OVERVIEW The Columbus Urban League Young Professionals will host its inaugural YP Empowerment Summit, a one-day professional development conference designed to provide Central Ohio young professionals and Millennials with the tools needed to enhance their respective career paths. With the theme, “360 Empowerment: A Focus on Personal, Professional & Community Growth,” the Summit will explore what it means to be a young professional in today’s landscape. Attendees will have the opportunity to expand their professional network while being immersed in interactive and thought-provoking sessions; all with the purpose of helping YPs live their best lives.

 BREAKOUT SESSIONS Summit attendees will have the ability to choose from three (3) programming tracks focusing on the areas Personal, Professional and Community empowermentEach track will include 3 workshops/sessions for attendee’s to choose from and attend.

Empowerment Tracks:
Personal – Designed to fuel the mind, body and soul, the personal development track will provide attendees with key tips to enhance their overall wellness, self-efficacy, goal setting and communication. The track will also focus on financial wellness and empowerment…because, at the end of the day, we all want to make #MoneyMoves.

Professional – Whether you’re an influencer, entrepreneur, creative or business professional, this track has something for you. In this high energy, informative session, attendees will hone their leadership skills while learning the art of risk-taking, failing up and leveraging resources to achieve their next career milestone.

Community – Young professionals play a critical role in shaping our future. As the leaders of tomorrow, how is today’s rising talent being empowered to drive our cities and communities forward? Here, YPs will learn the ins and outs of civic engagement, board participation, public service and how to claim the mark you want to leave on the world.  The result? A continuum of professional and leadership development central to the growth and betterment of our communities.
